According to Abulaje, together with Old Armenian դղեակ (dłeak, fortress; dungeon), Middle Armenian դղեկ (dġek) borrowed from an unspecified Iranian source. See դղեակ (dłeak) for more. Laz დილეღი (dileği) is borrowed from the same ultimate source.
