Georgian[edit]

Etymology[edit]

From Middle Georgian კამათელი (ḳamateli). Most probably a borrowed term.

Comparison with კამათი (ḳamati, argument) is doubtful. But compare the sense development in Old Armenian վէգ (vēg, dispute, argument; knucklebone used like dice in a game).

  • Hyphenation: კა‧მა‧თე‧ლი
