From (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Old Georgian ტყე (ṭq̇e), from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Proto-Kartvelian *ṭq̇e(n)-. Cognate with Mingrelian ტყა (ṭq̇a), Laz ტკა (ťǩa) and Svan ტყენ (ṭq̇en, bludgeon).
