• Only attested as a hapax in Hesychius:
  • 5th century CE, Hesychius Alexandreus, Συναγωγὴ Πασῶν Λέξεων κατὰ Στοιχεῖον Α:

    ἀλίη· κάπρος. Μακεδόνες

    alíē: wild (boar), according to the Macedonians

• It is unclear whether we are dealing with a noun or an adjective, since κάπρος (kápros) sometimes appears to modify other nouns, for example:
  • 800 BCE – 600 BCE, Homer, Iliad 7.256–257:

    λείουσιν ἐοικότες ὠμοφάγοισιν / ἢ συσὶ κάπροισιν

    leíousin eoikótes ōmophágoisin / ḕ susì káproisin
