ⵡⵔⵉⵖ
Appearance

[edit]Etymology
[edit]From Proto-Berber *-ăwriɣ, the qualitative perfect verb of *wăraɣ (“yellow”), from Proto-Afroasiatic *waraḳ- (“green, yellow”). Cognate with Egyptian jꜣqt and Proto-Semitic *waraḳ-, see there for more. Hardly borrowed from Arabic وَرَق (waraq) for phonological and semantic reasons. See also ⴰⵡⵔⴰⵖ (awraɣ).
