[edit]Punctuation mark
[edit]⸜ ⸝
- (Nko) Paraphrase delimiters: ⟨⸜ ⸝⟩ bracket paraphrased text.
Usage notes
[edit]These marks are approximately equivalent to using italics in Latin script, e.g. ⸜ߒߞߏ⸝ Nko.(Can we verify(+) this sense?) N’Ko "uses a set of paired punctuation, U+2E1C ⸜ LEFT LOW PARAPHRASE BRACKET and U+2E1D ⸝ RIGHT LOW PARAPHRASE BRACKET, to indicate indirect quotations."[1]
- ^ The Unicode Core Spec, "N'Ko" § "Punctuation" https://www.unicode.org/versions/Unicode17.0.0/core-spec/chapter-19/#G18895
Because Nko script is written right to left, ⟨⸝⟩ is the opening bracket and ⟨⸜⟩ the closing.
