- 1998, Kazuko Shikita, Oigokoro no honne [Truth of an aged heart][1], Hajime ni [Introduction]:
- たとえば、どうしていつもアどっこいしょと言うのか。年寄りだから...。そりゃあそうですが、私も六十代半ばになってから、朝、スイと起きられなくなりました。
- Tatoeba, dōshite itsumo a dokkoisho to iu no ka. Toshiyori da kara. Soryā sō desu ga, watashi mo rokujūdai nakaba ni natte kara, asa, sui to okirarenaku narimashita.
- For example, why do I always say ah, dokkoisho? From age... That’s true, but even from my mid-sixties I couldn’t wake up easily in the morning.
