     冬(ふゆ)の旅(たび)にでる前(まえ)に、ある雑誌(ざっし)へ雪国(ゆきぐに)の冬(ふゆ)の暗(くら)さについて随筆(ずいひつ)を書(か)いた。

     Fuyu no tabi ni deru mae ni, aru zasshi e yukiguni no fuyu no kurasa ni tsuite zuihitsu o kaita.

     Before going on my winter vacation, I wrote an essay for a certain magazine about the darkness of winters in the snow country.
