Etymology[edit]

붉— (buk-, red) +‎ (sae). Formerly used along much of the western coast of Korea. Compare northwestern Gyeongsang 뿔새 (ppulsae) or southwestern Gyeongsang 불살 (bulsal), 불새 (bulsae).
