From 사(四)철 (sacheol, “four seasons”) + 탕(湯) (-tang, “broth”).

- Phonetic hangul: [사(ː)철탕]
- Though still prescribed in Standard Korean, most speakers in both Koreas no longer distinguish vowel length.
