    • 2017 December, Lucas [M. Thomas], “Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon: An unexpected break from series tradition!”, in NF Magazine, number 30, Previews, page 46:
Most intriguing to longtime fans of the Pocket Monsters is the fact that this pair of games seems to be breaking a long-running tradition of the series by actually introducing some new 'mons!
    • 2022 December 22, Daniel Furn, “When will Pokémon Home come to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet?”, in Radio Times[1]:
Another generation is upon us in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, which of course means a new region, new Professors and, of course, brand new 'mons. [] However, it's worth bearing in mind that not every Pokémon is supported in the Scarlet and Violet Pokédex, and therefore only certain 'mons can be transferred from Pokémon Home.
