  1. Forms the regular plurals of nouns.

Usage notes[edit]

  • When following a hard consonant, the suffix is preceded by a "ъ":
    вӧт (vöt, dream) → вӧтъяс ("dreams")
  • When following a soft consonant, the suffix is preceded by a "ь":
    лӧдз (lödź, fly) → лӧдзьяс ("flies")
