Etymology[edit]

Probably from the genitive-dative case of -ակ ‎(-ak), abstracted away as an independent suffix. Compare առանձնակ ‎(aṙanjnak) – առանձնակի ‎(aṙanjnaki), ընդելակ ‎(əndelak) – ընդելակի ‎(əndelaki).
