Ye'kwana[edit]

Pronunciation[edit]

Suffix[edit]

-düje

  1. just as, as, like; attaches to a finite verb form to indicate that what comes next occurs in a like manner to the modified verb

Usage notes[edit]

This morpheme is properly a clitic rather than a suffix. It can trigger syllable reduction of the preceding syllable and causes lengthening of the preceding vowel (if not reduced).
