From Proto-Brythonic *bliθ, from Proto-Celtic *mlixtus (compare Irish bleacht), from Proto-Indo-European *h₂ml̥ǵtus, from *h₂melǵ- (compare English milk, Latin mulgeō (“to milk”)).
