Etymology
Compare ῥέπω (rhépō, “to incline”) and ῥέμβω (rhémbō, “I turn in circles”). Possibly from Proto-Indo-European *werb- (“to bend, turn”), shared with Latin verber, Proto-Germanic *warpą.[1]
