Borrowed from French soffite (soffit).

σοφίτα (sofítaf (plural σοφίτες)

  1. attic (space, often unfinished and with sloped walls, directly below the roof)
    Synonyms: ανώγειο (anógeio), ανώγι (anógi)

Usage notes

  • The meaning has changed from the French word from which the Greek was derived. The French term has the same meaning as the English (soffit).
