Αἰκατερίνη
Ancient Greek
Etymology
Often said to be from Ἑκάτη (Hekátē, “Hecate”), though the Oxford Dictionary of First Names finds this unconvincing. Or, from ἑκάτερος (hekáteros, “each of the two”).[1]
