Appendix talk:200 basic Thai words

This page would greatly benefit from an explanation of what they mean by "basic" - most frequently used? Most frequently taught to primary-school age children?

If it is meant as a guide for beginners learning Thai, it would be more valuable to list the 200 most frequently used words, as that will better support beginning learners as to what they can expect to need to use and understand when communicating in Thai. — This unsigned comment was added by 125.24.101.253 (talk).

I can just say that if visitors know these words, they can stay in Thailand happily; that is why I call 'basic'. These are selected with my experience, not quite most frequently used. (The former 100 words are not enough.) If you want more vocabulary, ask your partner-to-be. --Octahedron80 (talk) 02:48, 20 June 2016 (UTC)
