Gothic i-stem nouns.

These nouns are masculine or feminine, typically with the following endings:

  • in the nominative singular: -s;
  • in the genitive singular: -is when masculine, -ais when feminine;
  • in the nominative plural: -eis.

The stem classes are named from the perspective of Proto-Germanic and may not still be visible in Gothic inflections.
