This category lists hot words that are more than a year but less than two years old.

Citations that demonstrate independent attestation of these words spanning at least a year should be sought so that the words are eligible for inclusion in the dictionary when their two-year "hot word" period ends. See criteria for inclusion.

Once the two-year period ends, the words move to Category:Hot words older than two years.
