I think we ought to throw a link to Wikipedia on each of those pages and keep the category. Categories are meant to group related words and ideas together; whether or not they are things which exist currently or formerly does not really matter. - [The]DaveRoss 12:58, 29 May 2010 (UTC)

Well it opens the door to stuff like Category:Nations of the Holy Roman Empire, Category:Provinces of British India, etc. and I'm not quite sure we want that. -- Prince Kassad 13:07, 29 May 2010 (UTC)

Not to mention Category:Slavic tribes, Category:Principalities of Rus’, Category:Principalities of Muscovy, Category:Voivodstvos of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, Category:Guberniyas of the Russian Empire, Category:Fur trading posts of Rupertsland, Category:Counties of Ontario, Category:Rural municipalities of Manitoba, and two thousand others.
