In my opinion this category should be reformed to one like ROOT or STEM morpheme. Other combining forms which are not a stem or root should be in one of the affix categories. Paulo Calipari 16:36, 10 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

In my opinon, there probably shouldn't be anything in this category at all. --EncycloPetey 16:40, 10 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
Makes sense. All derived words from, say rex, should refer to rex where the root -reg- is explained in the Etymology section. Paulo Calipari 16:55, 10 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
It shouldn't need to be explained. The form (deprecated template usage) rēx is the lemma, but this word has collapsed an earlier Old Latin stem (as happens with many Latin words). It is understood that the base form may not match the nominative. --EncycloPetey 17:11, 10 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
