Purely POV? At the very least, it needs renaming to English terms with [] letter or more. Also, bad entry title (should always start with English, French, etc.) Mglovesfun (talk) 19:04, 17 December 2009 (UTC)

And then do what with it? Mglovesfun (talk) 23:10, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
keep The shortest word in the list currently 27 characters. So maybe we just set an arbitrary cutoff, say 25 characters, and say that in the category header. I think the category should stay with "words" rather than "terms" because the point is to find long whitespace-free words, not general terms (that might include phrases). The lake term is included because of the second word only. --Bequw¢τ 00:25, 19 December 2009 (UTC)
Ok, but according to WT policy the first word has to be "English", so we need a new name. English long words is probably good as it's gonna get, I don't fancy [[Category:English words of 25 letters or more]]. Mglovesfun (talk) 20:53, 20 December 2009 (UTC)
What policy are you referring to? That is true for PoS categories, but this isn't one. I think you were hasty in moving to Category:English long words. I think that title is more awkward to a native speaker, but others should weigh in as well. --Bequw¢τ 00:27, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
I saw no consensus supporting this change. Please revert. DCDuring TALK * Holiday Greetings! 02:05, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
Hmm yes, I thought it was for all language-related categories. Darn. Mglovesfun (talk) 06:54, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
Where is this policy? Mglovesfun (talk) 07:03, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
Examples are given in Wiktionary:Categorization#Categorizing words by language and part of speech and it's been discussed much in the BP and GP. I am unsure about this category. The only other types of non-topical, English categories that that have "English" not as the first word are ones like Category:American English and Category:100 English basic words. --Bequw¢τ 19:45, 23 December 2009 (UTC)

Kept, am now reverting myself. Mglovesfun (talk) 09:47, 24 December 2009 (UTC)

This word definitely fits on this page but it isn't here. It appears to have the correct "Category" tag on it but it is not showing up. Is it not here for a reason? Kohenkatz 02:34, 4 May 2010 (UTC)

Yes, it is listed here. You have to scroll your browser widow to the right to see it. --EncycloPetey 02:36, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
OK, now I see it. Is there some way to get this page to be fewer columns? Kohenkatz 02:37, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
No, Wiki-categories for all MW projects go to three columns once a certain minimum number of items appear in the category. --EncycloPetey 02:49, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
