Etymology

From (deprecated template usage) [etyl] French Cochin-China; from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Portuguese corruption of Ko-chen, + China to distinguish from the Indian town of Cochin (which has a different etymology and was also a Portuguese colony).[1]
