Etymology

Probably merged from three medieval (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Lua error in Module:parameters at line 290: Parameter 1 should be a valid language or etymology language code; the value "gem" is not valid. See WT:LOL and WT:LOL/E. personal names. The second part is -rīh (ruler). The first part is (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Proto-Germanic *amala- (vigor, bravery), *haimaz (home), or (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Proto-Germanic *ermunaz (great, strong; whole, complete). Cognate to Hungarian Imre. Comparable to English Emery and Amory, and distantly to Henry. See also Italian Enrico and Amerigo, from the latter of which America is derived.
