Proper noun

[edit]

Hatfield and Newhampton

  1. A civil parish (served by Hatfield and District Group Parish Council) in north-east Herefordshire, England.

Usage notes

[edit]

Newhampton was originally New Hampton, as shown on the Wikipedia map, both as a parish and settlement. A 1974 OS map shows New Hampton as a parish, and Newhampton as a settlement. By 2015, that same settlement was shown by the OS as Newhampton Farm.
