Cognate with Faroese Hvítarussland, Swedish Vitryssland, Norwegian Bokmål Hviterussland, Norwegian Nynorsk Kviterussland, Icelandic Hvíta-Rússland, German Weißrussland, Dutch Wit-Rusland, Afrikaans Wit-Rusland, English White Russia, Limburgish Wit-Rusland, Alemannic German Wiissrussland, among others.
