  1. The Idejo, also known as white cap chiefs, are the indigenous landowning chiefs that live primarily in and around Lagos Island. In oral history, it is said that the Ìdẹ̀jọ came with Ọlọfin to Lagos. In recent times, some of these Ìdẹ̀jọ chiefs have become ọba.
