Etymology

Blend of Kamala +‎ phenomenon, first attested in 2024. Modelled after femininomenon (itself a blend of feminine +‎ phenomenon), coined on the 2022 single "Femininomenon", the opening track on Chappell Roan's 2023 studio album The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess.
