Welsh

[edit]

Etymology

[edit]

From Kant (surname of Prussian philosopher Immanuel Kant) +‎ -aidd.

Pronunciation

[edit]

Adjective

[edit]

Kantaidd (feminine singular Kantaidd, plural Kantaidd, not comparable, not mutable)

  1. (philosophy) Kantian

Usage notes

[edit]
  • Being derived from a proper name, Kantaidd does not have its spelling adapted to typical Welsh orthographic conventions, which do not use the letter k. See also Zwinglïaidd (Zwinglian).
  • Like many other unnaturalised words recently derived from other languages, Kantaidd does not undergo initial mutation.
