Auto-stressed vowels

[edit]

@Atitarev Do we (or should we) normally put an explicit accent mark on ё? I mention this because ё is similar to о and э in normally occurring only in stressed syllables, and we do put an explicit accent mark on о and э. Even the module in Module:be-translit automatically puts an accent on о when transliterating (but not on э and ё, maybe because of words like тэлеві́зар and ра́дыё). @Benwing2: As a convention, no. The stress mark rules follow Russian, even if stresses over "о" are usually predictable. Much less with "э", as too many loanwords break the rule. You'll find that slounik.org puts stresses over "о" but not over "ё". I would explicitly put stresses over "о" where they are missing. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 01:24, 5 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
