森林

@Justinrleung, The dog2 Should we be including 森林 here? A 森林 seems to be larger. To me, 樹林=woods, 森林=forest. RcAlex36 (talk) 04:33, 26 October 2020 (UTC)

@RcAlex36: 樹林 can also mean forest. So in a sense they are synonymous. Many of our dialect tables have terms that are included even though there are subtle differences between them. For instance, if you look at the dialect table for 現在, there is actually a difference between 這陣 and 當今 in Singaporean Hokkien. @RcAlex36, The dog2: We can translate both as "forest", but that doesn't really mean they're exactly the same. I know there are cases where subtle differences exist, but for this, I don't think we should allow for that. 森林 > 樹林 in terms of size, and they are not hyponyms/hypernyms of each other. — justin(r)leung _{{ (t...) | c=› }} 04:57, 26 October 2020 (UTC)
