@Justinrleung: Yes, that's what it is. I think 爸 is the etymological character, most probably cognate with the second syllable of Hokkien 老爸.

Speaking of which, is 父媛 the same as 爸母 then? 爸母 is pē-bú in Hokkien, and becomes bê6 bho2 is Teochew. The dog2 (talk) 16:33, 13 November 2021 (UTC)

@Justinrleung: Sorry, I mean 父嬡, which means parents. Well, I have reason to believe than Hokkien pē and Teochew bê6 are etymologically related, so I think we should use the same character for both. But what do you think? The dog2 (talk) 22:49, 13 November 2021 (UTC)
