Etymology

Lithuanian Nemunas, of uncertain origin, possibly from an Old Lithuanian word meaning "damp, wet" (Proto-Indo-European *ned- (wet), sharing Ancient Greek νοτερός (noterós)), or from nemti (to become silent), or from Lua error in Module:parameters at line 290: Parameter 2 should be a valid language, etymology language or family code; the value "fiu-fin" is not valid. See WT:LOL, WT:LOL/E and WT:LOF. niemi (cape).
