Proper noun

[edit]

Pryor Creek

  1. A city, the county seat of Mayes County, Oklahoma, United States.

Usage notes

[edit]

The name was shortened to Pryor by the U.S. Post Office to avoid confusion with Pond Creek in hand-written addresses, and this name is in common use, but the official name of the city is still Pryor Creek.
