Etymology

From (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Arabic رَبِيع (rabīʕ, spring). A near homophone is Arabic رَابِعَة (rābiʕa), the feminine of رَابِع (rābiʕ, fourth), from أَرْبَعَة (ʔarbaʕa, four). Hence Rabia can also mean "the fourth female".
