Etymology

From *h₃rinéHti (move), present of *h₃er-. Related to Proto-Albanian *rina (cloud(s)) (modern re (cloud(s))), Illyrian *rhinos (fog, mist), Proto-Slavic *rinǫti (to push, shove), Aeolic Greek ὀρῑ́νω (orī́nō, to move).[1]
