From ilamati (for a woman to age, grow old) +‎ -qui. Attested indirectly in forms like the apocopic ilama, the plural ilamatqueh, and derived terms like the diminutive ilamatcātōntli (small old woman) (cf. huēhueh and *huēhuetqui (old man)).
