Etymology[edit]

Variant of *-ëda; the initial *-k- may be from *-kka (with phonotactic restriction *-Ckkëda > *-Ckëda) or *-ka, or be excrescent (or analogously re-extracted), likewise perhaps for phonotactic reasons.

Suffix[edit]

*-këda / *-kedä

  1. A generic adjective marker.
