Reconstruction notes[edit]

In Zan the expected -ჭკ- ← *-ჭ- (-č̣ḳ- ← *-č̣-) consonant cluster didn't develop due to the presence of -ხ- (-x-) in the stem, for more examples of this see *glaǯ-.
