Proto-Turkic[edit]
Etymology[edit]
According to logic of Turkic initial-∅, Mongolic initial-h and Tungusic initial-p, compared to Proto-Mongolic *hürü- (“to rub, grate, file”) and Proto-Tungusic *puru- (“to crush”). (Can this(+) etymology be sourced?) Only if it is related to these verbs can be reconstructed as *üŕ-.
Verb[edit]
*üŕ-
- (transitive) to break, tear, demolish.[1]
