Forms with -l

Is Old English ancleow derived directly from *ankijon or from *ankulaz? Leasnam (talk) 19:22, 25 July 2012 (UTC)

It can't be from *ankijōn because that leaves the -l- unexplained. The same applies to Old Norse, so the descendants don't support the reconstruction here. —CodeCat 22:39, 25 July 2012 (UTC)
