Don't ignore vowel substitution

[edit]

@Mellohi!, Kwékwlos This word have distinction of 被覆形 kura and 露出形 kuro. Correct reconstruction is kùrâ-u. It is necessary to specify the affixes (and as well as accents).--荒巻モロゾフ (talk) 01:35, 4 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Accentual registers are incongruent; kuro- is <LL->, kura- is <HH->, kuro as a noun belongs to accent class 2.5 *LF because Tokyo has <HL> and Kyoto has <LH-L>. 倉 is <LL> so this is more likely, but I'm not sure if the noun was a secondary development from the adjective. For the time being it's safe to continue as *kuro. Chuterix (talk) 22:31, 27 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
