@Useigor: 555f means "page 555 and the following one". It's a scholarly convention. See [[f.]] --Ivan Štambuk (talk) 16:25, 1 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

@Ivan Štambuk: Okay, thanks. I didn't know. I see this thing is rare used so it doesn't matter. Anyway i can undo my edit if you need. —Useigor (talk) 11:25, 2 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

"Shiny metal" compound - is it possible?

[edit]

PIE Gh'el - shiny, glimmering Late PIE Ayos - metal, mainly copper, or bronze Late PIE Genitive Ayosos

Gh'el-Ayosos - (made) of shiny-copper, transformed from Gentive to a Nominative through frequent use.

Satemised to želaisos Diphtong reduction in Balto-Slavic želaisos > želêzo(s) S> z unaccounted for (the sibilant in this position should technically produce the x sound)

Any views? And if not, why not? Ralphhalgas (talk) 20:34, 3 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
