@PUC, Bezimenen, Useigor, Rua, Fay Freak, Benwing2 @PUC: Re: diff "no Polish descendant?" I don't know, I couldn't find any. All West Slavic and other descendants are translated into Polish as berło no mention of any synonyms.

https://goroh.pp.ua/Етимологія/жезле lists various descendent, like Vasmer. I actually don't know if Bel. жазло́ (žazló) and Sloven. žézlo are borrowed from Czech žezlo. Could they have developed in parallel? --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 09:32, 5 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
