The original form appears to be *bolnь < pIE *bʰolH-nis (a patch of lawn, slime), which was extended up to a nomen collectivum either via *-je (becoming neural), *-a (becoming feminine) /that gave Bulg. блана and its doublet бланя, the original non-palatal блана means fadedness, paleness, tastelessness/ or *-ica in the various daughter languages. Another derivative is Upper Sorbian błoṅk. On this account, I propose that we reconstruct *bolnь in a single page, instead of creating different pages for each derivative.
