A hydronym, attested in (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Medieval Latin as Tamice. An *-ikos suffixed form, from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Lua error in Module:parameters at line 290: Parameter 1 should be a valid language or etymology language code; the value "qfa-sub-ibe" is not valid. See WT:LOL and WT:LOL/E., probably from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Proto-Celtic, from Proto-Indo-European *temH- (“dark”); or alternatively from Proto-Celtic *tā-[1], *tāyo- (“to melt, flow”), from Proto-Indo-European *teh₂- (“to melt”).[2] See also Thames.
