@Benwing2: Thank you. I have fixed my old edit. I am actually not certain about the older stress and it's hard to check. "Со́фия" is the older stress pattern, hence Со́фья (Sófʹja). http://kulturamovy.univ.kiev.ua/KM/pdfs/Magazine36-12.pdf (Ukrainian) talks about the shift in the stress for certain female given names in Russian, Ukrainian and Belarusian and stress variants, which are still preserved in modern names. --Anatoli T.
