Stress

It is stated here that in pre-reform orthography stress fell on i (англíйскiй), like in modern Russian. But Dolopchev's dictionary (Опыт словаря неправильностей в русской разговорной речи) published in 1909 recomends to put stress on a (Áнглiйскiй). Shouldn't it be reflected somehow? — This unsigned comment was added by 62.221.110.110 (talk).

It is now reflected. When you ask questions, do us a favour and don't use wrong letters. Your "англíйскiй" and "Áнглiйскiй" include Roman letters "í" and "Á". It's англі́йскій (anglíjskij) or а́нглійскій (ánglijskij). --Anatoli T. ^{(обсудить}/^вклад) 06:46, 23 June 2020 (UTC)
